If you've been around us at all, you know that we're sticklers about drinking craft beer from a glass! Now we want everyone to see that it's not just A glass but that the right glass makes a world of difference.

Spiegelau, one of the finest and most historic glass producers in the world, has developed 4 different beer glasses that help expose characteristics of specific beer styles and we're not only going to show you the difference, but you'll be able to take all 4 glasses home!
*Tall Pilsner
*Lager
*Wheat Beer
*Beer Tulip

This set of 4 glasses normally retails for $47, but through Barley's Angels of Nebraska and our friends out at Johnson Brothers, you can get the class, tastings and all 4 glasses for only $20!!!!

Jake's Friday- Lincoln: Double Lips Of Faith Tapping / Omaha: Saison Dupont Cuvée Dry Hopping

From Jake's Cigars & Spirits:

Friday (6/14) tapping parties for the Lincoln & Omaha Jake's

LINCOLN JAKE'S: We will be having a fantastic double tapping party with two new ones from New Belgium's Lips of Faith series.  A Brettanomyces fermented ale using plout fruit, and a great collaboration with Red Rock Brewing Company (Salt Lake City) where they used dandelion greens to bitter a Belgian-style ale.

Pluot- "Hook up a plum with an apricot and they’ll make you a pluot. This sweet hybrid fruit is as refreshing as it is strange, and it’s the perfect starting point for our new Lips of Faith beer. Pluot Ale pours a bright, light golden. The aroma is full of fruit tones and distinct esters from blending the funky brettanomyces and our house Belgian ale yeast. The flavor carries the same weight, adding a spicy, vinous subtlety to stand up against the malt backbone. To build a beer around this worldly fruit is purely Belgian in imagination. Pour some Pluot and enjoy!"

Paardebloem- "Using dandelion greens to bitter a Belgian-style ale blossomed from our brewers collaborating with Red Rock Brewing. These being our sixth interpretation together since 2008, expect a wonderfully complex ale fermented with wild Belgian yeast and blended with just a touch of wood-aged beer. Bitterness imparted from dandelion greens and grains of paradise will have you blowing wishes for sips."

5:00 pm Jake's Lincoln (14th & P St.)

OMAHA JAKE'S: We are very excited to be tapping a new (to the USA) version of Saison Dupont called Cuvée Dry Hopping 2013.  The original version has long been a favorite Saison and is a classic example of the style.  The addition of these Triskel hops sounds incredible!

Vanberg & DeWulf description: "Saison Dupont Cuvée Dry Hopping 2013 will be available this Spring, featuring the famous Triskel hop varietal from Alsace. Triskel is bred from the French Strissespalt and English Yeoman hops. Dupont’s master brewer, Oliver Dedeycker, describes it as “combining the aromatic notes, mainly floral, of Strisselspalt with the fruity character of Yeoman.”  The unusual name, Triskel, was apparently inspired by triskelion, the symbol of the Gauls, those beer drinking ancestors of the French, which represents the three elements: Earth, Air and Water."
